Spam comments

I got the following post in my comments. I'm pretty sure this is spam. Why? He doesn't mention at all what the post was about. This is a generic comment that could be about any post on any blog. Note the use of "this subject." What he wants is for us to go to his site. I have no idea what is on it, nor am I interested in finding out.

I just stumbled across your blog. I partly agree with you. I posted about this subject on my blog. http://ericnovak.com/?p=131

Update: Love2Learn Mom checked this one out. It is legit. Sorry Eric. The moral is a) you can't be too cautious and b) try not to look generic in com boxes!

Okay, I couldn't resist, I had to peek. Something actually struck me as non-spammish about the comment (I've gone through a lot of spam comments in my day). The post is about Narnia and allegory.

Okay. I stand corrected. In fact, I was really on the fence on this one. It was the name that made me think it was real, plus the use of the name in the url. All of the rest of it I've seen in spam e-mails. Even the url isn't a blog entry.

Ha, I'm not a spammer. My blog doesn't actually make the post name go into the URL.

I came across your blog on google and I thought I would post about it.

I would really suggest that you read that post because it does relate to your post.

"Today I came across a blog claiming that Narnia contained no allegories. The author basically said that Aslan did not represent Christ because Narnia is a fictional world. Strangely, I agree– well, partially that is."

Yeah, I read it. I pretty much agree with you. Sorry for the mixup.
