Robert - if you have read One Hundred Years of Thomism and have grasped enough of it to be able to declare it, casually even, a "great read", I would say that you are by no means a man of "half-measures" or compromise.
I'm pretty sure I couldn't comprehend the introduction to such a book. That's why I'm glad you are out there in the Church, teaching souls.
Maybe after I get through Fr. Schall's reading list "Another Sort of Learning" I will have improved my capacity to read difficult stuff. I'm still back on his first recommendation - Augustine's Confessions. Next is A Guide for the Perplexed by Schumacher. That would be me - perplexed.
Still - glad you enjoyed the Thomism book - will you blog a little more about what Thomism is sometime for us amateurs out here?
