Spiritual Wisdom from Maclin Horton

It's not when you say ‘I know this is wrong but, God help me, I can't resist doing it anyway’ that your soul is in the greatest danger. It's when you say ‘I can't resist doing it, so it must not be wrong,’ because you've hardened your heart by an act of will. You've added the sin of pride to the sin of disobedience, and the road back home from that place is far longer and more difficult.
