The Scarlet and the Black and Pius XIIAs much as I like the movie The Scarlet and the Black (doesn't Christopher Plummer make a great villian?), one thing that bothered me about it was that it bought into the "silence of Pius XII" myth. This news item further belies that myth. Gregory Peck seems to be a genuinely decent person. Does anyone know what his stance on abortion is?
